The Wellington at Springfield Honored Among Top Senior-living Communities

SPRINGFIELD — The Wellington at Springfield, a Capital Senior Living independent assisted-living and memory-care community, announced it has been named a Caring Star of 2020 for service excellence in senior living.

In consumer ratings and reviews on Caring.com, the Wellington at Springfield earned a five-star rating (the highest possible score) within the qualification time frame, while also having a high volume of positive reviews and meeting other criteria for this national honor. The Wellington at Springfield was the only community in Hampden County named a Caring Star of 2020, and is among 149 Caring Stars communities named across the country for 2020.

Online reviews help Americans research and select the best senior-care providers for aging or ailing loved ones. In multiple Caring.com research studies, the majority of family caregivers have indicated that they turn to the internet and consumer reviews when narrowing their options among senior-living communities in their area, and have relied on these perspectives as much as or more than in-person recommendations from geriatric professionals or medical personnel.

“At Capital Senior Living, we consistently strive to deliver high-quality care and engaging programming for our residents in a setting that caters to their individual needs,” said Christie Frappier, executive director of the Wellington at Springfield. “This recognition from Caring.com is indicative of our ability to deliver on this pledge, and to ensure we offer residents the experience they need and a place to thrive. We also extend thanks to those who made an effort to share positive feedback about the services we offer, and to Caring.com for recognizing our communities as Caring Stars of 2020.”
